volunteer requirements
The cooperative nature of our Playschool means we rely on the participation of parent volunteers to help make our Playschool run. We appreciate the time our Playschool families devote to being a participant in their child’s Playschool experience. Our hope is that parents will enjoy their time interacting with their child, their classmates, our teachers and other parents. We believe parents can learn many things about their child, and child development, through participation.
“Time spent playing with children is never wasted."

SPECIAL HELPERS
Each child will have the opportunity to be a special helper in the classroom. Some of the privileges of special helper will: line leader, choosing an activity, using the pointer to do the calendar and daily routine.
Out of class jobs
Outside of the classroom, each family is responsible for one volunteer role per enrolled child. Each role contributes significantly to helping run our Playschool. Out-of- class jobs include a role on either the Playschool Committee or one of our Non-
Executive Committees. Non-Executive roles include such things as fundraising, craft prep, playdough prep, library helper, Costco/Dollarama buyer, etc.
