Class Offerings

All classes offered are for children 3 to 5 years old

**Children must turn 3 within 30 days of their start date and be able to toilet independently.

2 day - Tuesday/Thursday Morning Class

Drop off: 8:45 am - 9:00 am (guardians must stay with their child during this time but are welcome to come into the classroom for morning activities or to help set up).

Class time: 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Pick up: 11:30 am

Maximum class size is 20 students with 2 certified educators.

3 day - Monday/Wednesday/Friday Morning Class

Drop off: 8:45 am - 9:00 am (guardians must stay with their child during this time but are welcome to come into the classroom for morning activities or to help set up).

Class time: 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Pick up: 11:30 am

Maximum class size is 20 students with 2 certified educators.

5 day - Monday-Friday Morning Class

Drop off: 8:45 am - 9:00 am (guardians must stay with their child during this time but are welcome to come into the classroom for morning activities or to help set up).

Class time: 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Pick up: 11:30 am

Maximum class size is 20 students with 2 certified educators.

**Classes with enrollment under 8 children may be subject to reduced staffing.

Fees & Registration

HHBHCA Playschool is participating in the Provincial Affordability Program.

Funding of $100 per child is provided directly to operators and is used to reduce family fees.  Fee reductions are automatically applied monthly to each child’s account. You do not have to apply for this grant.

Tuition fees for the 2025-26 HHBH CA Playschool year:

• 2 days/week: $149.35/month - $75.00 affordability grant = $74.35 family portion

• 3 days/week: $195.70/month - $75.00 affordability grant = $120.70 family portion

• 5 days/week: $310.55/month - $75.00 affordability grant = $237.55 family portion

Monthly fees are charged on the first of the month September through to June.

NOTE: You will need to purchase a $20 HHBHCA membership in order to complete registration through the HHBHCA website. HHBHCA Membership

**There is a non-refundable $50 playschool registration fee that will be charged to your first month's fee. This fee goes directly towards the playschool to cover the additional time and cost of getting your family set up in the program.

Parent Volunteers

A cooperative preschool requires parents to be actively involved with their child’s preschool experience. 

Each family is required to complete one out-of-class job per child enrolled. Out-of-class jobs include a role on either the Playschool Committee or one of the out-of-class volunteer roles (laundry helper, making play dough, etc.)

We also encourage families to volunteer in the classroom. Parents, grand parents, nannies, or another important person in your child’s life can be the volunteer, as long as that person has completed their police clearance and is of 18 years of age.

Our registration is ongoing. Children may register after the school year begins, space permitting.
