FAQs

Can my child  join the Playschool mid-year?

Yes, registration is ongoing! Provided there is room in the program and your child has turned 3 years old they can join anytime.

Are we able to view the classroom and meet the teachers?

Absolutely! Please contact us and we will be happy to arrange a time. We also host an open house through out the year for families to view our program.

Are there any before and after care options?

There is a fully accredited childcare program located in Briar Hill Elementary School (across the hall from our Playschool classroom). Care is available between 7:00am to 6:00pm daily.

Does my child need to be fully potty trained?

Yes, children should be fully potty trained prior to starting at our school. However, we understand that certain exceptions may occur. Please contact us if you have concerns.

What are the volunteer requirements for parents when a child is enrolled in the Playschool?

A cooperative Playschool requires parents to be actively involved with their child’s Playschool experience. As part of our Playschool community, we ask parents to participate in regularly scheduled helper days (approximately once every 4-8 weeks) and complete one out-of-class job per child enrolled. This helps us meet licensing requirements and keep fees low. See our parent information page for more details.

How do I register?

Our Playschool operates as part of the HHBH Community Association. To register, please login or create an account on the HHBH Community Association website. Each registered family is required to hold an active HHBH Community Association Membership. If you don't have a current membership, you can purchase one for $20 at registration. If you any trouble registering online, please email us at admin@hh-bh.ca or call 403 282-6634 for assistance. You may also want to check out the HHBH Community Association's Registration System FAQ's.
